I saw this cool sandwich cutter gadget at the Housewares show in Chicago in March 2016, and it immediately caught my attention. I own a few sandwich cutters, but the ones I have are just shapes (Elmo, butterfly, heart) that basically cut the sandwich into halves or quarters. I send my toddler to pre-school with a fresh sandwich every day, and every morning I cut it in tiny squares in a huge rush as we're trying to get out the door. I try to slow myself down, but I'm afraid I'm going to cut my finger one morning. So when I saw this, I thought it could solve that problem. But then I thought, Do I really need another gadget just for that? Turns out, the nice woman at FunBites decided for me, by sending me a sample to try. And what happened in the end is that I barely got to try it, because my kids all wanted to use it. It's so fun and easy, that I had to line up for my own turn. Even though it leaves over a hefty crust section, my kids ate that crust part as well, because the whole thing is just so much FUN! If you have any food that you wish your kid would eat without such a fuss (which mother doesn't?!?), this is a great tool to have in your arsenal. Oh, and it came out of the dishwasher spotlessly clean, even though some un-named person used it to cut a warm sticky cheese sandwich. |
