There's nothing like a creamy split pea soup to warm you up on a cold winter day. Personally, I never really liked pea soup until I started making it myself, adjusting ingredients to get a sweet super creamy soup. I cook a huge pot and freeze individual portions in plastic bowls slipped into sandwich bags. Then, when I want soup, I pop out one portion into a small pot or microwavable bowl. I defrost it, stir to get mix in any frozen lumps, add some water or milk, and cook until hot.
