Due to the extra long stretch between Chanukah and Purim this year, my kids' school had Project Week at the end of December. Each class focused on something that they could learn in a hands on way, and share with parents at the end of the week. As my kids and I went through the classrooms on Thursday night, admiring the models, posters, and elaborate set-ups, we found this gem in one of the second grade classrooms. They had been focusing on measurements and fractions, and their display included this Granola recipe. The school went nut-free this year, so you'll notice that this recipe is very different from standard granola recipes, which usually are heavy on peanuts or almonds. Packed in small zip-lock bags, it makes a great snack for the kids to take to school. Happy printing and happy cooking! Vichna Belsky Download and print the recipe here |
